We are off!

This Autumn we are kicking off the launch of our fundraising drive and are calling on every single member of the church family to get involved.

We will be doing this through a range of organised events and asking all groups, organisations and individuals – from crèche to Wednesday Welcome – to play their part by coming up with ideas and using their unique gifts to raise money.

Importantly, we also need everybody in the community to cover this project in prayer if it is going to be a success.

How much do we need?

The total we need to raise to transform our facilities is approximately £1.5m – no mean feat.

We have decided to go for this full amount, because we do believe that if we pull together as a community and put our trust in the Lord, this large sum is achievable. As it says in Proverbs 3:5, if we trust in Him with all our hearts, “he will make our paths straight.”

So why do we need to raise this money?

The great news is that our church is thriving, congregation numbers are growing, our young people’s ministry is booming and we are embarking on more and more projects to share the love of Christ with our community.

However as a response to Gods blessings of growth, the logistical and practical need for our buildings to be upgraded is now a major priority. Our facilities do not meet the ambitions and potential of our church as we are operating at “full and over capacity.”

Not only do we want to create a church fit for future generations, building on the rich legacy of the past, but also to reach more of our community, blessing them with the resources we have.

How can you help?

We want everyone to get involved – please get together with family, friends and groups to think of creative ways to raise money. For example, could you hold a party, quiz night, or take part in a sky dive (if you feel daring)? Do you have a particular talent you could use to help us reach our target such as sport or craft? How about a golf day, head shave, sponsored walk….we can provide plenty of ideas and support.  If you have any ideas and suggestions, please contact one of the Fundraising Team Members and let them know:
