During the week we hold five different Toddler groups. They are aimed at those with one or more under-5s. So if you have a toddler, a four year old or any age in between, this is a place to meet others with children of the same age. Your child will need to be accompanied by an adult, but this does not have to be you. Amongst the adults attending we have Mums, Dads, Grannies, Child minders, Nannies or Friends.

All the different groups come together at times to take part in the Christmas, Easter and Harvest Toddler services in church. We also have a Christmas party together each year.
All five groups have a time to play with a variety of toys, puzzles, duplo, playdough and the sit-and-ride toys, as well as craft activities, refreshments, stories and songs. In good weather we can use the garden or the fenced in area in front of the centre.

The groups are not just for the children. They are a place where you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee and chat to other adults. You can ask for help or advice from the leaders who will be willing to help if they can or will refer you to someone who will be able to. You can take part in the craft activity with your child and get some ideas on how to keep them busy at home and you will be able to sit and watch them play with similar aged children.

If you are interested in any (or all) of the five groups then just turn up at the Church Centre at the allotted time and make yourself known to the leader or contact  the Church Office. We are a “turn up and join in” group. We do not have waiting lists and do not mind if you cannot come every week – or if you come to every session!

Each session costs £1.50 per family.

This is a great way to make new friends for you and your children.

Are you a first time mum or looking after a baby while older children go to school?

If the answer is yes then this informal gathering on Tuesdays, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, in the Christ Church Centre is for you.
Babies from a few weeks old to approximately 12 months are catered for with play gyms, toys and the opportunity to interact with children of the same age.
Meanwhile mums or carers are revived with tea/coffee/squash, biscuits and a chance to talk through experiences and concerns with those in a similar situation.
Visiting speakers occasionally come to talk on subjects such as what happens at nursery school, baptism, or how to use the toy library.

For further information, please contact the Church Office, 01920 4872637.

The 11:00am service draws a wide age range, with music led by our worship bands with modern worship songs mixed with more traditional ones. Our children’s ministry, crèche, children’s church & 11-14s groups run during the service.

Creche-2Sermons at Christ Church are stimulating and challenging – but if you’re under three years, even the best children’s services can seem a little dry.
Get your Mum or Dad to bring you down to the 11:00am service crèche. Make sure you get signed in, and you’ll be signed out too.

While you’re at the crèche, four of the regular Mums and Dads (organised by rota – all approved by the church) get to read you stories, and put out a host of great toys. There are boxes of baby toys, and you can build train tracks, cook up a tasty plastic treat, use the ride-ones and much more. You won’t be lonely, there will be other children to play with. Remember though, no ride-ons on the mat!

If you’re really unhappy – someone at the crèche will fetch Mum, Dad, or the person you came to church with – so they needn’t worry.

If you have any other queries please contact the Church Office, 01920 4872637. See you there!
